Okawa Beads
Ceramic beads are the heart of our product line. Women in the informal settlement were taught the process of forming, smoothing, firing, and decorating clay beads. This was started back in 2004. Since then, the process has been perfected and the women can make up to 1,000 beautiful beads per week. Once the beads are finished, they are sorted according to size and color and then they are packaged for sale or used in our various jewelry products.

Handmade Jewelry
After perfecting our beads, we expanded into jewelry. Using various techniques, including wire crocheting, stringing and various stitch work, the women create a variety of products including every day wear as well as statement pieces. Our product designs are a collective effort and are influenced both by current trends as well as Namibian culture.
